Cassina LC4 Chaise Lounge

This chaise is a sculptural and sleek piece of furniture that will up the style factor in any room of your home tenfold. It still looks so futuristic and sleek that it is very hard to believe it was designed way back in 1928. Its designers Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand were pioneers in using tubular steel in furniture design. While Le Corbusier viewed his houses as "machines for living," he called this chair "the relaxing machine" for inside the home.

The chaise was inspired by the traditional French chaise longue, known in English as a "long chair." The modern twists the designing trio added are so striking that it can be placed in a big empty space without being swallowed by it.
