Designer Hans J. Wegner first launched the CH07 Shell Lounge Chair in 1963, showing a unique classical mellowness and deep warm color. At the same time, another series uses black leather chairs, showing a soft and smooth matte original texture, showing the low-key luxury of the minimalist concept in contemporary art, which is extremely charming.

At that time, due to the extremely complex production process of the CH07 Shell Leather Lounge Chair, production was stopped after a few pieces were produced. It was not until 1998 that Carl Hansen & Søn overcame technical difficulties and resumed production, finally perfectly presenting his visionary and extraordinary design.

Hans J. Wegner has a deep understanding of sitting posture and ergonomics. The core of his design is armless, retaining the tilted leaning structure, showing a strong design language and excellent comfort. The U-shaped seat cushion with a smiley face-like arc earned the CH07 the name Smiling Chair.

This Modern Lounge Chair has soft lines and organic shapes. Its unique three legs provide strong stability, and the double-layer frame designed afterwards allows each corner to have the same bending angle.
